This striking Columbian Red Tail Boa displays the sought-after hypo morph, featuring reduced pigmentation that enhances the vibrant red coloration along the tail and body. A captive-bred male in excellent health and temperament. 40-gallon breeder tank minimum for growing juveniles; larger enclosures encourage natural behavior. Provide sturdy branches and hides at multiple levels. Temperature & Humidity: Maintain a warm side of 88–92°F with a basking spot; cool side 75–80°F. Humidity 60–80%. Under-tank heating or heat tape with thermostat control is essential. Feeding: Frozen-thawed mice or rats appropriate to body size. Juveniles feed every 10-14 days; adults every 21-40 days. Handling: Generally docile and handleable. Start with short sessions and allow 48 hours post-feeding before handling to prevent regurgitation. Lifespan: 15–20 years with proper care.
