This species is moderately aggressive and fast-moving, making it best suited for experienced keepers. Housing: Provide a terrestrial setup with 4–6 inches of substrate for burrowing. A 5-gallon enclosure works well for juveniles; adults need 10+ gallons. Maintain temperatures between 72–78°F and humidity around 60–70%. Feeding: Offer appropriately sized insects (crickets, roaches) every 7–10 days. Juveniles eat more frequently; adults may fast for weeks between meals. Temperament: Highly defensive and quick to bite. Handle only when necessary and always with caution. This species is not recommended for beginners.
