Armadillidium klugii are a striking species of isopod, commonly known as Clown Isopods or Montenegro Clowns, due to their vibrant red/orange and yellow/white spotted patterns on a dark body. This coloration is a form of mimicry, resembling the Mediterranean black widow spider (Latrodectus tredecimguttatus) to ward off predators.
