Nelson's Milk Snakes are small striking constrictors known for their vibrant red, black, and yellow banding. Native to Central America, these docile snakes make excellent pets for both beginners and experienced keepers. They typically reach 24–36 inches in length and thrive in a 40-gallon breeder tank with aspen or fir shavings for bedding, 3 or more hiding spots, and a temperature gradient of 75–85°F. Feed frozen-thawed mice or small rats every 7–10 days. With proper care, Nelson's Milk Snakes live 15–20 years, making them a rewarding long-term commitment for any collection.
