Australian Barking Gecko (Underwoodisaurus milii) are hardy, ground-dwelling lizards native to arid regions of Australia. Named for their distinctive barking vocalizations, these geckos thrive in warm, dry environments with temperatures between 75–85°F and low humidity. They require a terrestrial setup with sand or soil substrate, and multiple appropriate hiding spots. Feed juveniles insects twice weekly; adults once weekly. With proper care, they live 15–20 years. Handle minimally to reduce stress and maintain their natural behavior.
