California Kingsnakes are hardy, docile constrictors prized for their striking banded patterns and manageable size. Quest displays the classic black-and-white banding characteristic of this species. These snakes thrive in a 40-gallon breeder tank minimum with aspen or cypress bedding, require temperatures of 72–85°F with a warm hide, and feed on appropriately sized frozen-thawed prey every 7–10 days. They're solitary and should never be housed together. Kingsnakes are known for their resilience, longevity (15–20 years), and calm temperament, making them excellent for both experienced keepers and dedicated beginners. Provide secure enclosure locks, as they're escape artists. Quest got their name for a very good reason.
