Eastern Kingsnakes are known for their striking black and white banded pattern and docile temperament, making them excellent choices for both beginner and experienced keepers. These hardy snakes thrive in a 40-gallon breeder tank or larger with secure enclosure, moderate humidity, and temperatures between 75–85°F. They're ophiophagous—feeding primarily on other snakes in the wild—so housing must always be solitary. Feed frozen-thawed mice appropriate to size every 7–10 days. With proper care, Eastern Kingsnakes live 15–20 years, requiring minimal handling stress and consistent feeding schedules. Their resilience and low maintenance make them a reliable addition to any collection.
