Nelson's Milksnakes are docile, manageable constrictors ideal for intermediate keepers. This albino individual displays the striking red and white banding characteristic of the morph. Milksnakes thrive in 40-gallon breeder tanks with secure hides, moderate humidity (40–60%), and temperatures of 75–82°F. Feed appropriately sized frozen-thawed mice every 7–10 days; they're generally food-motivated and reliable feeders. Provide aspen or cypress mulch substrate, handle gently 1–2 times weekly once acclimated, and expect a 15–20 year lifespan. Albinos require reduced or no UVB exposure to prevent eye sensitivity due to their lack of protective melanin. Hardy, low-maintenance, and beautifully patterned—an excellent choice for building serpent-keeping experience.
